Working Together
I work alongside you to help you uncover the root of what is happening in your life that is causing discomfort or pain. Together, we listen to and process the messages that arise from connecting to your bodily sensations and emotions. I support you in exploring your inner world, deepening your relationship with yourself, and tending to your wounds to resolve unconscious blocks. This process can help you unlock the energy you need to create the life you want and connect to a sense of clear internal guidance.
Somatic Experiencing is central to my practice. Somatic Experiencing is a body-centered approach to treating PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder). Rather than focusing only on thoughts or emotions associated with a traumatic event, SE expands to include the natural bodily (somatic) responses. Somatic Experiencing works by bringing attention to and tracking the body's sensations to discharge traumatic stress stored in the nervous system. It is a gentle approach that teaches your nervous system how to regain its resiliency, improving mental and physical health. Somatic Experiencing can be a great ally in treating anxiety, depression, fatigue, chronic illness, chronic pain, insomnia, and addiction issues.
Sessions are individualized for each person I work with. I offer processing and Somatic Experiencing in a seated, across-the-room format. I also offer table work through Craniosacral Therapy and Somatic Experiencing Touch, along with trauma-informed yoga.
Who do I work with?
I work with people navigating symptoms of PTSD or C-PTSD. I see clients ages 9 and up, and much of my work has been with early developmental trauma, attachment trauma, sexual abuse, and medical trauma.
I also tend to work well with people who are highly sensitive, neurodivergent, and/or highly creative.
I often work with people living with endometriosis, EDS, mast cell activation syndrome, chronic fatigue, and POTS, as well as other chronic health conditions. While I am not a medical provider, I often see nervous system dysregulation as a significant part of these and other chronic conditions. Supporting the nervous system can be an important piece of symptom management and recovery.
